This is one of the most scenic treks in the Galiyat region. Many people have marked the beginning of their trekking journey from this trek, which passes through a thick pine forest spread over a lush green bed of grass. In case the weather is clear, the place provides a scenic sunset viewpoint.
Dagri (also called Dugri) means “The home of leopards” in the local language. Dagri Naka or Bungalow was originally constructed as a residence for the security personnel of the Galiyat region, appointed by the British Government. After partition, the position was handed over to the Ministry of Forests.
Dagri Bungalow was badly damaged during the 2005 earthquake, but there is a wooden hut that is still in use.
